Project Jericho
Several years ago upon visiting a Middle Eastern country, God began to reveal how He wanted Answering The Call to penetrate regions of the world that were closed to the gospel. It began with a prayer walk around an ancient city. The team was reminded of a walk that occurred around another ancient city centuries ago. In the book of Joshua God told the Israelites to simply march around the city of Jericho for 6 days and on the 7th day they were to blow their trumpets. God assured them of victory and indeed after blowing their trumpets, the walls of Jericho fell and the Israelites took the city. What a strange way to conquer a city. We believe through prayer and worship the Kingdom of God is ushered into the places we go and the spiritual walls of darkness will begin falling. Project Jericho involves prayer walking, worshiping and obeying the Lord as He leads.
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." ~ Ephesians 6:12
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses." ~ 2 Corinthians 10:3-4
God is wholly committed to redeeming and rebuilding all that belongs to Him. The Psalmist tells us that the nations belong to the Lord and His eyes watch over them. Come and join us in Project Jericho as we participate in the redemption of the nations!
This year we envision Project Jericho occurring in the Middle East, North India and a possible new location in Asia.
