YIDA
We first attempted to enter the Nuba Mountains in 2014, but were shopped short of Sudan’s border at a place called Yida. At the time, Yida was populated by approximately 10,000 Nuban refugees.
We built relationships with the refugees there, and returned to facilitate mobile clinics and offer training for pastors in the camp. We were overjoyed at the ministry we had found in Yida, but we yearned to reach those trapped beyond the Sudanese border, so we prayed for an opportunity to reach the un-reached.

PROJECT BUILD·A·BED
67 BEDS TO BUILD
$67 PER BED
You may remember back in March of 2019, we coordinated with local leadership to have 50 children evacuated from an extremely hard-to-reach, war-torn area that had lived through a forced starvation campaign. With military accompaniment, those brave souls, along with the ATC team, embarked on an eleven day journey on foot to safety.
Since that time, 17 more children joined them. We were able to provide all 67 kids with food, shelter, and education, but the provision, in the midst of COVID was quickly coming to an end.
The government's plan, due to the pandemic, was to simply send them home when they ran out of aid.
In a matter of days, we needed to raise a large sum of money to ensure that they would have food, medicine, new clothes, and education for another year. The Lord moved quickly and miraculously, providing all the funds required to sustain the 67 children.
In addition to this amazing generosity that came in to care for their food, medicine and well-being, we thought it would be incredible to raise money to build them beds. Right now, they sleep on the ground and on tarps. Even though their situation is much better than it was, we would love to give them the gift of a place to lay their heads so they can truly feel at home and secure. It’s a small thing, but for children who have lived through war, a bed is a big deal.
