YIDA
We first attempted to enter the Nuba Mountains in 2014, but were shopped short of Sudan’s border at a place called Yida. At the time, Yida was populated by approximately 10,000 Nuban refugees.
We built relationships with the refugees there, and returned to facilitate mobile clinics and offer training for pastors in the camp. We were overjoyed at the ministry we had found in Yida, but we yearned to reach those trapped beyond the Sudanese border, so we prayed for an opportunity to reach the un-reached.

UKRAINE
When war broke out in Ukraine, ATC was originally preparing to go on a trip to another field of operation. When news broke, the team felt a strong call to redirect their plans and make their way to the front lines of the conflict.
As other NGOs were pulling out to neighboring countries, the ATC team sought out bombed out buildings in Kharkiv and other cities in the heat of the war to reach those who were left behind and needed food and aid.
Today, we continue to make trips into the region to support those in need, coming alongside a network of churches that have faithfully provided community, support, food and water to the ones who remain.

Russia's Invasion of Ukraine
On February 24th, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine, creating a massive humanitarian crisis, countless casualties, and displacement in the millions.
Russia still controls about 20% of Ukrainian territory, and life has been marked by regular mortar fire and frequent drone attacks for people still on the ground and living through the crisis and uncertainty.
Our teams have made a dozen trips to the front lines of the conflict to deliver food and aid to the most vulnerable. The war has now stretched on for nearly 5 years, and people estimate the death toll being in the millions at this point.
Though the world's attention has shifted, it remains a very real crisis that still requires support for those left behind.

A GATHERING PLACE
In April, 2026, we began the process of raising funds so that the local community could purchase a building to call home for their church family. It will provide a warm, safe space where people can come together, pray, support one another, and begin to rebuild a sense of stability and belonging as the fighting continues. Alongside this community is a network of churches that continues to provide, food, water, and supplies to those in need.
